On Sunday, the most decorated gymnast in American history won the US Olympic trials, recording an all-around total of 117.225 to secure an automatic spot on the Unites States' five-woman team heading to the French capital this summer.

Owens, who is scheduled to be in training camp with the Bears as they adjust to life with new starting quarterback Caleb Williams, is being given a few days off by the team so he can join his wife.

"The Bears are actually granting him a couple days off from training camp, so he'll be there, yes," Biles said, grinning. "For just a short little time."

Owens and Biles' romance began in March 2020 after meeting on an app when the NFL star was still a member of the Houston Texans.

The budding couple hit it off over their love of pets - she has two bulldogs, he has one - and their relationship soon blossomed.

Fast forward to April 2023 and the lovebirds exchanged wedding vows during an intimate courthouse ceremony in Houston, Texas.

Weeks later the power couple tied the knot for a second time with a lavish ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

"We had to get married 'legally' here in the U.S. since our wedding will be a destination wedding," the Olympian explained on Instagram at the time.

Biles became a regular fixture at Lambeau Field last season when Owens was playing for the Green Bay Packers.

The legendary gymnast was in attendance to watch Owens and the Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs in sub-zero temperatures in December.

Biles braved the notorious Wisconsin cold and even took the time to take photos with diehard Cheeseheads who presented her with a special GOAT hat.

She also celebrated wildly when Owens scored a touchdown against the Lions on Thanksgiving and said she was enjoying supporting her husband's NFL career.

“It’s been really fun supporting what he loves to do,” Biles said of Owens during the interview.  “Obviously he’s in Green Bay right now. My season just ended, so I’m super excited to get out there to Green Bay for the holidays to support him."

Now Owens, who signed with the Bears in March, will get the chance to repay Biles' support by cheering her on at the upcoming Olympics.

"Oh, he's always so supportive," the gymnast said of Owens in 2021. "Even if I wake up in the morning and I'm like, 'I'm tired, do I have to go,' jokingly, he's like 'Don't say that! You can do it, this is your dream!'"

Owens was in attendance with Biles' family at the US Olympic trials on Sunday in Minneapolis. Footage of his reaction to Simone's routine went viral.

“We [are] going to Paris,” Owens later wrote via his Instagram Story. “Man I’m so proud.”

This year's Olympics will be the first Biles has competed in since she married Owens.

Four years ago, the four-time gold medallist withdrew from several events at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics, citing mental health troubles.

She also experienced the 'twisties', causing her to become disoriented in the air during the competition, but still won a silver and bronze medal.

Paris will be the 27-year-old's third Olympic Games.

They get underway on 26 July with Biles and the US women set for qualifying on 28 July. The the team final is two days later.

The women's all-around final, where Biles will be favorite to claim gold, takes place on 1 August.

The Bears' training camp starts on 19 July and the team has four preseason games between 1 August and 22 August.
