Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao returns to the ring next weekend as he takes on Rukiya Anpo in an exhibition bout.

Pacquiao was planning to take on RIZIN featherweight champion Chihiro Suzuki, but that fight was swapped for this one instead.

So, ‘Pac Man’, who retired from the sport in 2021, will face former K-1 super lightweight champion Anpo in a fight that will include ‘special’ rules.

They will only be fighting over three, three-minute rounds which is a very short duration. 

Pacquiao vs Anpo: Date and how to follow

This fight will take place on Sunday, July 28 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. 

The main card is expected to get started at around 5am UK time with ring walks for the main event likely to be at 10am.

Pacquiao vs Anpo: What has been said? 

Pacquiao may be taking exhibition bouts after retirement but he's keen to return to fight for a title and the WBC president thinks he can do it. 

Mauricio Sulaiman told Sky Sports earlier this month: "Manny Pacquiao is timeless. He's a legend.

"We have great precedent of former champions coming back as long as they pass successfully all the medical examinations.

"As a former champion and as a legend, he does have the possibility of fighting for the WBC championship."
