Gervonta Davis has now been officially approved to travel to Paris for the Olympics this month.
The 29-year-old American boxing star is currently on probation after being jailed last year and this restricts him from travelling abroad.
Davis spent 44 days behind bars last summer as he violated the terms of a sentence that initially saw him avoid jail time.
He'd accepted a plea deal over his November 2020 hit-and-run car crash which injured four people and so received a home detention sentence without imprisonment.
However, not even a month later, Davis was jailed after all.
He violated the terms of his home detention order and was ordered to serve the rest of his 90-day sentence in jail as a result.

It was revealed that he violated the terms by trying to serve the home detention order at the Four Seasons Hotel and a $3.4million penthouse, rather than trainer Calvin Ford's one-bedroom property as the judge initially agreed.
Davis' lawyer claimed the reason for the move was because Ford's place was too small for him and his security team, but the judge did not accept this because no request was ever made for a change in location.
After being sent to jail, Tank spoke out from inside prison and blasted the judge Althea M Handy, calling her 'crazy'.
He went live on Instagram, saying: "Man, I just wanna let the people know that this judge is crazy, bro.
"She locked me up because basically I bought a property. I did everything in my power to listen to my lawyers. I listened to everybody to a tee.
"She’s mad that I bought a property. That’s why I’m sitting in jail. She wanted me to be in an apartment, a one-bedroom apartment. And I couldn’t even take that.

"She wanted me to stay in a one-bedroom apartment. Couldn't even have my kids or nothing come visit me and things like that.
"I just want to spread light on this situation because she’s taking advantage of me. She's doing stuff that's not right to me. I don't know if she's a bad judge or not, but the things that she's doing right now is not right."
This week, a year on, Davis and Handy met again as she presided over the hearing for his request to travel to Paris after being invited by Team USA chiefs to support their boxers in the Olympics from July 19 to August 12.
High Performance Director for Team USA, Matt Johnson, wrote in Davis' defence: "Given his status amongst the world’s best boxers, Mr. Davis would be a key asset in motivating and supporting our team to achieve Olympic greatness and become the number one nation in the world at this year’s Olympic Games."

Many were sceptical that Handy would grant the request, however on Wednesday it was revealed that she has done.
Davis will now head to France to play a role in backing Team USA's boxers.
