A super fight between Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez is at the top of Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh's boxing wish list.
The blockbuster showdown would see Crawford, who is set to make his super welterweight debut on August 3 against WBA champion Israil Madrimov, move up two more weight classes to super middleweight.
Several members of the boxing fraternity believe it would be a step too far for the former undisputed super-lightweight and welterweight king.
But WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson insists 'Bud' is more than capable of carrying his devastating knockout power up through the weights after witnessing him wobble a heavyweight in sparring.
“Honestly, I think that ‘Bud’ beats anybody who he gets in the ring with, even at a higher weight class," he told ESNEWS.
"I think he’s got all the tools and ability to beat anybody and everybody.

“He’s got punching power, boxing IQ, boxing skills and footwork.
"There’s nothing he can’t do in the ring, so I think he’d be a hard task for anybody.
“Another thing, his punching power translates to another weight class.
"I’ve been in the gym and seen him hurt a heavyweight, a 200lbs plus dude.
"He hurt him and he was in there with wobbly legs. I was like damn this motherf****** can punch that hard.”
HE Alalshikh is aiming to stage Crawford vs Canelo in either December or January in the United States.

The proposed date falls perfectly between Canelo's usual Cinco de Mayo weekend (May) and Mexican Independence Day (September) slots.
Canelo is expected to return to the ring on September 14 with Edgar Berlanga and Chris Eubank Jr named as potential foes.
Eubank Jr was originally the frontrunner to duke it out with Canelo.
However, that fight is now in doubt after Hearn, who had shown an interest in signing 'Next Gen' before he joined BOXXER's stable, told Seconds Out: “We had a conversation, not myself but Frank Smith has been speaking to the team.

"As I understand it, he wanted two sort of gimme fights to come back to.
"He’s been inactive for a long time, out for a year. I don’t know where they’re up to with the Canelo stuff. It doesn’t sound to me like that’s happening, but who knows.”
