Fans hail Logan Paul for ‘best ever line’ as he jabs at SummerSlam rival ahead title match
Logan Paul faces LA Knight at WWE SummerSlam next month having again impressed fans with a build-up promo on SmackDown.
'The Maverick' is currently the longest-serving champion WWE and continues to improve in every aspect of his development.
While not wrestling night in, night out for the company just yet, the influencer turned grappler has certainly invested time in his run with WWE since signing a new contract.
A regular feature on television most weeks, he belies his relative inexperience in terms years under his belt when it comes to promoting his own bouts.
While being unquestionably talented when it comes to the gruelling physical techniques involved with being a professional wrestler, it’s his blossoming on the other side of the business that continues to win over fans.
Aided by playing a ‘heel’ role – that of an on-screen bad guy, Paul is able to lean into his natural cockiness and charisma, just as he did during an in-ring exchange with Knight on Friday’s episode of the blue brand show.

The two combatants convened in the ring and finally signed the ‘contract’ for their upcoming match at SummerSlam for the 29-year-old’s United States Championship.
With no real physicality involved barring near-miss of a scuffle after their verbal joust, it was down to their words to do carry the weight of building the match.
And while Knight – also naturally very charismatic – fared very well, claiming he’d ‘owned and cooked’ the upstart, it was Paul who’d set social media alight with a jibe to his opponent.
Pulling on an oft-criticism of Knight that his act too closely resembles that of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at his WWE peak, the champ blasted: “You are a gym bro, with a spray tan and a catchphrase, pretending to be The Rock.”
That got the reaction you’d expect live in the arena – and from Knight – but it also proved a hit on social media, with one fan on X saying it was the star’s ‘best promo’ in WWE.
Another added: “Logan's ability to blend humour with bravado is a testament to how far he's come in the wrestling world.”

A third commented: “The number one priority of the company WWE from here on out should be push Logan Paul to the moon, this promo alone was enough to see he’s it.”
One user even expects Knight to snare the US title from Paul when they meet, in favour of the latter moving on to bigger and better things in WWE, saying: “Logan Paul is great in the ring and great on the mic too. He’s gonna drop the title to knight but I’m ready for him to wrestle Rollins, Gunther, McIntyre.”
SummerSlam this year comes from Paul’s home state of Cleveland, Ohio as WWE takes over the Cleveland Browns Stadium.
Also billed for the show is a long-awaited match for the Women’s World Championship between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan.
