Francis Ngannou has revealed he wants to fight Renan Ferreira in October.
After losing to Anthony Joshua in his second professional boxing bout, he’s now ready to make his MMA return.
Now, Ngannou has told the Joe Rogan Podcast he hopes to do just that in three months time.
“We have a pretty good relationship [with the PFL],” he said. “I will be fighting by the end of the year.”
The former UFC star stated nothing is finalised yet, but the PFL are working on making the fight happen on October 19 in Saudi Arabia.
Ngannou, who has an MMA record of 17-3, has not seen the inside of a cage since January 2022.

That was when he outpointed Ciryl Gane over five rounds at UFC 270.
He then left Dana White’s promotion, signing a lucrative MMA deal with the PFL.
Ngannou went on to box Tyson Fury with the latter winning by controversial split decision.
He then faced Joshua, with the British fighter putting all his weight behind a vicious right-hand moments after the second knockdown, dropping Ngannou cold.
Ngannou’s next opponent Ferreira won the 2013 PFL heavyweight title.
Standing at 6ft 8in, the Brazilian will be a tough test for Ngannou for his MMA return.
