One of the most exciting events at the Olympic Games is undoubtedly the 100m sprint.
Usain Bolt created some of the most iconic moments ever on the track and now a new generation are aiming to achieve lifelong dreams.
USA’s Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson are two of the fastest in the world and they will eyeing gold in their respective events in Paris.
They will be challenged by the Jamaicans with Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce wanting to end her incredible Olympic sprint career with a medal.
In 2020, it was Italy’s Lamont Marcell Jacobs who claimed gold in the men’s event and in the women’s, Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah took top spot on the podium.
Team GB have athletes in both events looking to book a spot in the final, but it’s going to be Lyles and Richardson who are the ones to beat.
